We are located in Post Falls, Idaho.
Post Falls is about 15 miles east of Spokane, Washington on Interstate
90.
Forever Healeys was born in 1998
when Lynn Martin, owner of a successful commercial painting business,
retired on his 48th birthday, to pursue his passion with the Austin
Healey. He restores one car per year.
Since 1967, Lynn has had the pleasure
of restoring numerous British sports cars as a hobby for himself
and for others. His love of the cars, attention to detail, and
years of research in determining authenticity of original components,
sets him apart from other restorers.
While in high school, Lynn attended an innovative
and progressive vocational program in Boulder, Colorado to learn
the basic skills that have evolved into true craftsmanship. In
1970 Lynn restored a Triumph TR-3 for a friend. Later the same
year he bought a TR-4. As this was his only car and driven everyday,
keeping it running smoothly was of the highest importance. During
this entire period, while working on his own car and restoring
cars for others, Lynn was able to continue refining and perfecting
his restoration abilities.
Lynn now owns five big Healeys, ranging from a
Gold Concours Healey 3000, a BT7 driver plus three needing restoration.
Lynn is retired and is concentrating on getting all of his Healeys
restored. He does most of the work in his own shop so he produces
only quality and not excuses.
Below is brief listing of the many awards won
by British cars restored by Lynn. Cars restored by him are presently
winning shows from coast to coast and in Canada. We were especially
proud to have had one of his restorations make the cover of Austin
Healey Marque. It is a BN4 that he restored a couple of years
ago.
